ARJUN SISHIR
A recipient of the Lucie award, advertising and fashion photographer Arjun Sishir has worked on international projects in different parts of the world.
The animal kingdom has always fascinated him and he has shown keen interest in learning the social hierarchy of certain species. It all began during one of his fine art photography projects he decided to start research on tiny insects. Though he was well aware of the importance of bees as pollinators on this planet, he stumbled upon a couple of documentaries about their life cycle which was enough to get him hooked to the life of bees. In fact, he was so captivated by their hierarchy and discipline that he started urban beekeeping on his balcony and terrace. Today, he not only is a subject matter expert on bees but also is someone who has his own bee farms, apiarist friends and tribal harvesters across the length and breadth of India, thanks to his obsessive nature. His concern is not only about honey bees but also other pollinator species and their caretakers that he along with his team started an Initiative to support the cause and thus “Sattvva Initiatives” was born.

Umeysh Ramalingachar is a Global Power Networker, having worked for corporates and global start-ups, he understands the Startup ecosystem well.
He is a Mentor with Global Incubators & Accelerators and in his current role he is associated with startups as a Strategic Partner, Growth Advisor handling – GoToMarket, Global expansions, Partnerships and Investments. He is also a keen enthusiast in Urban beekeeping and hence joined hands with Arjun to start this Initiative. Umeysh is a Hard-core Bangalorean, an avid cyclist and a badminton player.
